1) Connect to MailerLite

When setting up your promotion, go to:

  1. Integrations > Email & SMS.

  2. Click Add Service > MailerLite.

2) Get MailerLite Credentials

In order to get your API Key:

  1. Login to MailerLite.

  2. Go to Integrations > Developer API.

  3. Copy your API Key.

3) Complete the connection

To complete the connection within ViralSweep:

  1. Paste your API Key into ViralSweep.

  2. Click Connect.

  3. A menu will appear with your groups. Choose a group and click Connect.

4) You're connected

The promotion is now connected to MailerLite and all entries will be sent into the connected group.

Do you update subscribers?

Yes, if you run a promotion and we pass someone to MailerLite, then you run another promotion in the future and the same person enters, we will automatically update their information in MailerLite (if any new information is provided). Mainly, the referral URL will be updated with the newest URL for each promotion they enter.


Troubleshooting

If you have connected to MailerLite and data is not being added to your group, these are the most common reasons as to why:

Email already in MailerLite
The email address entered into the promotion may already be in your MailerLite group, so it will not be added again.

Email already entered into ViralSweep

The email address entered into the promotion has already been entered into the promotion previously, so therefore it is not passed to MailerLite. This can happen if you set up your MailerLite integration after you have already entered the promotion.

Delay in reporting
​
MailerLite is having a delay in reporting. Try checking again in a few hours.
